Delete your Chat7 account
In the app
- Open Chat7 and go to You → Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be removed, and confirm.
Can't open the app?
Email support@getchat7.com with the subject "Delete my Chat7 account" and the phone number on the account. We check that the number is yours, then complete the request within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your profile and phone number, your devices, encryption keys and encrypted backup, your settings, your Snippets, and any documents or links you have with Northdesk contractors.
What stays
- Messages other people already received stay on their phones.
- Encrypted messages you sent stay on our servers, unreadable to us, until they expire. They show as from "Deleted account".
- Anything you sent a contractor through Northdesk stays in that contractor's business records.
- Safety reports are kept for 1 year, and other records only where the law requires it.
